Double Decker Project

Is it not fun to mix and match creative compositions in the layout? In France and Spain, double decker coaches became a distinctive feature of busy commuter and regional trains. They did not run on British rails – but that doesn’t mean they can’t add colour, character, and a touch of continental charm to your layout.

That’s why we’re launching the Double Decker Project: a line of standardised double decker coaches, inspired by French and Spanish prototypes, re-imagined to run happily behind your favourite British locomotives. Whether you want them as a quirky “what if” train, a continental visitor, or simply something different to brighten your consists, these coaches will do the job.

The production approach will follow our proven model: a choice of attractive, realistic and imaginary liveries, and options both with and without lighting. Pricing will be in the same accessible range as our previous projects – £35 for a standard coach and £41 for one fitted with lights.
