Project 00B Set

In 1847, the Great Western Railway introduced the famous Iron Duke class locomotives, built to Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s visionary broad gauge system. With their elegant lines and powerful performance, these engines became the pride of the GWR and a defining symbol of Victorian railway progress.

For the very first time, we are bringing this heritage to the modelling world in 00B — 00 scale broad gauge. This groundbreaking set marks the debut of a brand-new standard in railway modelling.

The set will include everything needed to capture the spirit of Brunel’s broad gauge era:

  • An Iron Duke broad-gauge locomotive
  • Three matching period coaches
  • One complete loop of authentic broad-gauge track

This is not just another starter set — it is the first ever 00B set, a collector’s piece and a bold step forward for enthusiasts of early railway modelling.

To make it a reality, we need 1,500 enthusiasts to join our waitlist. Once we hit that milestone, the project will advance at a target price of £320 for the complete set. At that stage, we will open advance payments to fund production. The set will feature:

  • Die-cast metal and injection-moulded plastic construction
  • Next18 decoder socket
  • Factory-fitted sound decoder
  • NEM coupler pockets (where historically appropriate)

When 1,000 confirmed pre-orders are reached, production will start. And as always, every supporter will have the option to request a full refund at any stage — your commitment is secure.

Be part of history: help us launch the first 00B broad-gauge set and bring the legendary Iron Duke and its era back to life in miniature.
